Godfrey Boniface Arthur

Godfrey Boniface Arthur of Covington, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019 at the Oaks at Ashton Hills. He was 89 years of age. Godfrey was born in Hanover, PA to the late James William and Elizabeth (Godfrey) Arthur. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. Godfrey proudly served his country in the US Navy and while there turned his enjoyment of boxing into becoming the Feather Weight Boxing Champion for the Navy. He was extremely loyal and hardworking. His hobbies included woodworking, gardening, golfing, bowling and watching football. He loved travelling, especially to the beach. Godfrey will be greatly missed by all. He is preceded in death by both parents, his first wife Donnie Lee Arthur, second wife Dolene Arthur, son Russell Alan Arthur, sister Anna, brothers Earl, Justus and Jimmy Arthur. Survivors include his daughter Sandra Arthur, step-daughter Angela Martin, sister, Pauline Arthur Winand, grandchildren Alyssa Martin, Austin Martin. A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 11:00 am at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens, 581 Veterans Memorial Hwy, SW, Mableton, GA.
