Celia Cortez Martinez passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at the age of 95 Celia died of natural causes at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle,Ga. Born in Guerrero, Mexico to the late Gonzalo Cortez and Maria Delrefugio Martinez. She is also preceded in death by her husband Socorro Sanchez, son Alfredo, and daughter Carolina. She was the Mother of 6 daughters; Adelina, Carolina, Ignacia, Delfina, Balvina and Onelina and 3 sons Alfredo, Carmelo and Victor. . Celia was an excellent mother, grandmother; great grandmother, magnificent wife, exceptional sister, exemplary daughter, a friend, and a great human being. she taught us to value and enjoy the things that made us happy. She especially taught us and instilled our faith. We will miss your smile, your joy, and your love. We know that from heaven you will continue to inspire us. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 16, 2019 at ST. Paul of the Cross Church located; at 551 Harwell Rd NW Atlanta, GA. Internment will follow the service at Mozley Memorial Gardens 3180 S. Sweetwater Rd. Lithia Springs, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 17,2019 from 4pm-8pm at Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services 11405 Brown Bridge Rd.
