William Horace Goodman

William Horace Goodman, Born December 22,1930 of Covington, GA, age 87 was called to his eternal home by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 08,2018 at Abbey Hospice In Patient Unit in Social Circle, GA. Mr. Goodman was preceded in death by his parents William Albert and Lillian Martin Goodman. His wife of 58 years, Mary Hazel Durden and daughter Linda Diane Kirk. Mr. Goodman was a long time member of The Baptist Tabernacle, was a Deacon Emeritus for a number of years until health decline. Mr. Goodman was employed by Lithonia Lighting in the Tool & Dye division and Evans Tool and Dye in Conyers, GA retiring in 1993. Mr. Goodman is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Judy Goodman of Covington, GA; brother, John Thomas (JT) and Faye Goodman of Social Circle, GA; son-in-law, Rev. Jim Kirk and grand-daughter, Brittany Kirk both of Akin, SC; several, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Wheeler Funeral Home Sunday June 10, 2018 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday June 11, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home, located at 11405 Brown Bridge Road, Covington, GA 30016 with the Reverend Stan Berrong, Pastor of Glen Haven Baptist Church, McDonough GA officiating. Interment will follow at the Covington City Cemetery in the Goodman Family Plot.
