Wendell Jefferson “Jeff” Elliott, Jr., passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Abbey Hospice. He was 80 years of age. Jeff was born in Atlanta, GA to the late Wendell J. Sr. and Doy (Cleveland) Elliott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Elliott.Jeff graduated from Southern Institution of Technology where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He later served two terms as President of the Alumni Association. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and enjoyed scuba diving, fishing, hunting, woodworking, traveling, and going to the beach and mountains.Jeff was a loving husband, father, granddaddy, and a great friend to so many. He was greatly loved and will be sorely missed.He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Margaret Elliott; sons and daughters-in-law, Craig and Susie Elliott, Scott and Melinda Elliott; grandchildren and their spouses, Robbie (Brittany), Maggie (Angelo), Marissa (Michael), Tylor (Jessica) and Jeffrey; sister, Wendi Hill (Rusty); along with many nieces, nephews and other loving family members.A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
