Thomas Lewis Pitts

Thomas Lewis Pitts, of Covington, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024, at Piedmont Newton Hospital. He was 67 years of age. Thom was born in Warner Robins, GA to William and Barbara Jean (Manning) Pitts. He is preceded in death by both parents, and brothers, Dana Engram, and Scott Pitts. Thom was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and a great friend to all who knew him. He was a gifted lyrist and musician. Thom loved to write music, sing his songs, and play his guitar. He had 33 songs that he had copywrites on, and he had a band that he performed in, Tungston South. Thom enjoyed going to the ocean or the lake with his boat and fishing and loved old rock and roll music. To know him was to love him. His memory will forever be cherished by his loving wife of 21 years, Lynn Pitts; his son Jason Lunceford, son Philip Sherk, daughter Stephanie Sims, grandchildren Ashley, Brandon, Lily, Emily, Ryan, greatgrandchild Bella, sister Rosa Crowe Johnson (Terri), brothers Billy Pitts (Julie), Shawn Pitts (Trish), along with several nieces, nephews, and other loving family members. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Pius Catholic Church, Conyers, Saturday, February 17th , 2024 at 11:00 AM.Read Obituary
