Ruth Thelma Layson, 91, of Covington, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Abbey Hospice. She was born in Atlanta, GA to the late Walter and Nancy Blalock Sims. Ruth was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.She is preceded in death by her husband, Olin Layson; and daughter, Teresa Davis. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Diane Cason; son, Randy Layson; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11:00 am at Lawnwood Memorial Park.
