Roy was born at Fort Benning in Columbus, Georgia to the late Roy Sr. and Gladys (Taylor) Myrick. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Ricky Myrick.Roy was a loving husband, father, and a proud honorary father and grandfather to his stepchildren and their children, he was a devoted friend to so many others. He was a 1970 graduate at Rockdale High School, he continued his education at GA Tech, after college he proudly served in the US Army. Roy loved his chickens, and his dog “Chocolate “. He enjoyed going tent camping at DeSoto Falls in Cleveland GA. and spending time with his family. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.Roy leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife of 17 years Sandra Myrick, sons Jason Myrick, Christopher Myrick, Russell Myrick, Morgan Sneed, and an honorary daughter Ariel Stowe (Derrick) and their children Aiden, Dawson, and Gavin Stowe, his brother Robert Myrick and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at 4pm at Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services 11405 Brown Bridge Rd Covington, Ga with Pastor Jerrell Collins officiating.
