To View Livestream Of Service Click Here Roger D. Stubbs passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in his home. He was 54 years young. Roger was born in Atlanta, GA at St. Joseph’s Hospital to James Roger and Edna Mae (Henderson) Stubbs. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and a friend to all. Roger proudly served in the US Navy where he sailed on the US Doyle and served in the Persian Gulf War . Roger graduated from Sylvan Hills High School in Atlanta and in later years he moved to Covington in 2003. He enjoyed working on and talking about cars with his son, and could fix almost anything. He loved music, food and had a great sense of humor. Roger was an avid GA sports fan rooting for the Braves, Falcons, Hawks, and UGA. He loved his wife and was a dedicated family man. He was very protective of his wife and children and always just a phone call away. Roger loved his family and the Lord. He is resting peacefully in Heaven with his fur babies Cookie, Quacha, Tyson and Rico. Greatly loved by all who knew him, Roger will be dearly missed. Roger was preceded in death by his parents Edna Mae Stubbs and James Roger Stubbs, and brother-in-law, Kenneth D. Bussey, Jr. His survivors include his loving wife of 31 years, Natale Y. Stubbs; daughter and son-in-law, Arienne and Kevin Allen, son, Roger D. Stubbs, Jr., and daughter, Bianca L. Stubbs; brother, Vincent L. Stubbs; sister, Erika Stubbs-Green; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends; mother-in-law, Mary Bussey; father-in-law, Kenneth D, Bussey, Sr.; brother-in-law, Darrius Bussey; fur baby Biscuit. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 11 am in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services. Due to the current COVID-19 regulations, our staff is committed to taking care of our guests and families that we serve. Please understand we will be following the State’s COVID guidelines. We also ask all guests and family members attending visitations and services to please bring and wear a mask while in the building, and are encouraged to practice social distancing.
