Robert (Bob) Andrew Spencer Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Robert “Bob” Andrew Spencer, 72, of Covington, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Piedmont Henry Hospital. Bob was born in Statesville, NC to the late Ralph and Effie Lee (Marlowe) Spencer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his sons, Alenda Spencer, and his grandson, Dalton Spencer. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandad and a friend to everyone, because he never met a stranger. He enjoyed video games and Sci-Fi and Fantasy movies. Bob was always in search of “Big Foot”! He liked to go to the beach and hang out at home with family and friends. Bob enjoyed his job at Emory for over 30 years, where his colleagues became his friends. He was an active member of Connecting Point Church in McDonough. Bob was a devoted Christian, he lived his life to be a loving example of Christ. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His survivors include his loving wife of 20 years, Katy Spencer; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Spencer, Eric (Traci) Spencer, Chris (Krista) Spencer; daughter, Amanda (Ethan) Evans; grandchildren, Davis, Dylan, Ali, Donovan, Silas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe (Charlotte) Spencer, David (Sue) Spencer, John (Connie) Spencer; many nieces, nephews and loving friends. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Connecting Point Church, in McDonough. Please contact the family for service time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Connecting Point Church, 124 S Zack Hinton Pwky, McDonough, GA 30253.
