Phyllis Marlene Pitts

Phyllis Marlene (Cobb) Pitts, 83, of Covington, passed away peacefully at her home, Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024. She was born in Atlanta, GA to the late Hugh D. and Dorothy (Farrah) Cobb. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughters, Debra Deanne Johnson, and Connie Evan Wyre; brother and sister-in-law Hugh Denny and Pat Cobb.Phyllis enjoyed flower gardening and working in her green house. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.Her survivors include her husband, Charles Pitts of Covington; children and their spouses, Charles D. and Deborah Pitts of Covington, Dorothy Guynell and Keith Stone of Elberton; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; brother David Cobb; sisters Shirley Smith, Dottie Haynie, Carol Hamilton, Sue Frost (Joe), Jean Razzano (Billy), and Joan Stephenson (Benny).A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 13th, 2024 at 4 pm at Stewart Community Church, 13645 GA.
