Paul Augustus Wilson

Paul Augustus Wilson, of Lithonia, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024, in Covington. He was 89 years of age. Born in Decatur, GA to the late Lonnie B. and Launa (Park) Wilson.He was the most devoted husband to his wife of 49 years. Becky was his entire world and Paul showed his devotion and his never-ending care throughout her prolonged illness. Paul did two tours in the U.S. ARMY. He liked fabricating anything from metal and repaired cars, motorcycles, and tractors. He was a big risk taker. Sometimes it turned out good, and other times not so much. Paul loved his dog “Lila”, whom he rescued from the Atlanta Humane Society.Paul is preceded in death by his wife Becky (Wiggins) Wilson; his parents; his sisters, Lucille James and Louise Wiggins; and his brothers, Murphy Wilson, Jake Wilson, Russell Wilson, “Red” Wilson, L. B. Wilson, Bob Wilson, Ralph Wilson and James Wilson.His survivors include his children and their spouses, Paula (Rodney) Robertson of Covington, Barry (Joellen) Wilson of Lilburn, Kay (Mike) Shivers of Monroe; grandchildren, Taylor (Anna) Robertson, Ethan (Casey) Robertson, Logan (Cathy) Robertson, Mitch Shivers, Megan Shivers, Niah Wilson, and Gavin Wilson; great grandchildren, Cal Robertson and Nolan Robertson; along with a host of numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 1pm at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 8235 Union Grove Rd, Lithonia. Paul wished to arrange for lifetime care for his constant companion, Lila.
