Mary "Virginia" Wilson

Mary “Virginia” Wilson, 79, of Conyers, passed away, Monday, October 28, 2019 at her home. She was born in Stone Mountain, GA to David and Mary Frances Sammons Sheppard. Virginia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Virginia was a member of Cornish Mountain Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Wilson; parents; daughter, Melinda Ragan; and siblings, Blake Sheppard, Bobby Sheppard, Shirley Davis. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Charles “Chuck” Wilson, of Jersey, GA, Trina and Rev. John Deerman of Conyers, GA; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Edna Jean Baldwin of Loganville, GA; brother, Forest Sheppard of Newton County, GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services, Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Rev. John Deerman officiating. Interment will follow at Cornish Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until 2:00 pm.
