Mary Dean Denny, 86, of Conyers, Georgia passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Grady Hospital. She was born on January 6, 1936 to the late James and Gladys (Cofer) Costley. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her brother, Billy Costley; sister, Janice Thomas; and nieces, Lisa Wheeler and Tabitha Bradley. Mary was a loving mother, Mea’Maw, sister, and a friend to everyone she met. She worked at Lithonia Lighting for 37 years. Mary loved to go fishing, bake, work in the garden, and spend as much time as she could with her friends at Peggy’s beauty shop. She was a kind and very generous lady that was very thoughtful to everyone she knew, but most of all, she loved her family more than anything. Mary is survived by her daughter Phyllis Worthy, son, Ronnie King (Gidget) grandchildren, Shelly Shipp, Leeann Singleton (Riley), Kyle King (Hazel), and Taylor King; great grandchildren, Dominic, Rachel, Dawson, Heather, Breanna, and Dylan; niece, Wendy Preston (Scott); nephews, Mickey Thomas (Lynn) and James Costley (Mindy), and several other loving family members. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services with Ed Walden officiating.
