Mary Louise Cole, born on April 29th, 1936 in Morton, Mississippi, to Everett Ford and Vera Velma (Simpson) Blissett. She passed away February 21st, 2019, in her home, with her loved ones near. She was a loving wife, sister, mother, and grandmother, the kindest of souls. She enjoyed breathing in fresh mountain air and returning home to Mississippi to spend time with her family. She most enjoyed relaxing with a cup of coffee on the back porch with her friends and family. Mary was preceded by her husband Wesley Freddie Cole Jr., her parents, and her siblings Blanche Middleton, Loise Virginia Boykin, and Everette Doyle Blisset. Mary is survived by her siblings, Jo Ann (Melvin) Parker, Francis Harpe Williams, William “Ratsy” Everett Blissett, James “Boomer” Doyle (Beverly) Blissett, her children, Steven Wesley (Michelle) Cole, Sandra Cole McCollum, Michael Edward Cole, her grandchildren, Ashley Renee Crist, Steven Lyndsie Cole, Payton Maryann Luedeke, Troy Alan Cole, and her great-granddaughter, Meadow Rose Crist. She was a light unto the lives of others, known as Nannie Cole to many, and a golden example of a strong, caring woman. A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. the evening of Friday, February 22nd. A final viewing will be held at 1:00 p.m., with a service following at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 23rd at Wheeler’s Funeral Home in Covington.
