Marcia Ann McCord, 77, of Covington, GA, passed away peacefully at her home, Sunday, February 25, 2024. She was born in Covington, GA, to the late Burt Reagin and Jane (Sammons) Jackson. Marcia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, “Emma”, sister, aunt and friend to many, who called her “Mot”. Marcia was a lifetime member of Shiloh Methodist Church. She retired after many years from Lithonia Lighting. Marcia enjoyed shopping, reading, sewing, cooking, square dancing, riding on the motorcycle, and spending time in the mountains. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.Marcia was preceded in death by her father, Burt Reagin, mother and step-father, Jane and Cliff Jackson, husband Lee McCord, brother Billy Reagin.Her memory will forever be cherished by her children and their spouses, Kelly and Stan Johnson of Covington, Chris and Karen McCord of Conyers, Jamie and Amber Williams of Covington, Amanda and Rick Icaza of Lakewood, CO; grandchildren and their spouses, Clay and Amy Johnson, Alex and Baylee Johnson, Emilye McCord, Reagan Townsend, Rebekah Townsend, Hunter Williams, Raegan Williams, Addy Williams, Sage Icaza, Aylen Icaza; great grandchildren, Owen Azar, Brooks Johnson, Anderson Johnson, Bennett Johnson; sisters-in-law, Karen Reagin and Carol McCord.Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 2 pm at Shiloh Methodist Church with Pastor Mike Wadley officiating. The body will lie in state from 1pm until service time. Interment will follow immediately after at Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 28, 2024, from 6pm – 8pm at Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services.
