She was born in Starsville, GA to the late Howard Littleton and Nonia Mae Kimbrell. LaVerne was preceded in death by her grandson, Vernon Heath Glaze, siblings, Demaris, Blondine, Vivian, Sadie, Grace, Watson and J.C. She was a loving wife, Nanny, sister, aunt, and friend to many. LaVerne retired from the Waffle House after 33 years of service. Prior to her retirement, she had the honor of training others at the Waffle House. LaVerne used to work as a beautician and a Kindergarten teacher in her earlier days. She enjoyed fishing, working in her flower beds and going to Florida in years past. Back then, it was nothing to see LaVerne ride her Harley motorcycle. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.LaVerne is survived by her husband of 32 years, Michael Hendry of Conyers; children, Keith Glaze of Conyers and daughter, Tina Bradshaw of Covington; grandchildren, Tiffany Moon, Danielle Moon Lee (Eric), Emma LaVerne Bradshaw, Bobby Glaze (Kelly) and James Glaze (Ariana); great grandchildren, Thomas, Waylon, Chloe, Brantley, Collin, James, Gracie and Damian; brother, Clifford Kimbrell.Memorial service for Mrs. Hendry will be held Tuesday, December 26th, 2023, at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Randy Peppers officiating. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, December 26th, 2023 from 2:00pm to 3:00 pm prior to the service.
