Kay Diane (White) Norris
January 26, 2022
Mrs. Kay Diane (White) Norris, 74, of Conyers, Georgia entered final rest on January 26, 2022 at Abbey Hospice. She was a long time legal secretary in Atlanta before her retirement. Her love was helping feral cat communities with trap, spay, and releases. She never met an animal she didn't like and would even stop her car to help a snake or a turtle cross the road. Miss Kay was known to feed possums in her yard and even name them. Born in Danville, IL, she grew up in Savannah, but the family also spent some of her earlier years traveling around with her USAF father. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas R. White, Jr. and Opal Virginia Anne (Finley) White, as well as her brother Thomas R. White, III. She is survived by her husband, William C. Norris of Conyers, her brother Michael A. White (Scott) of Zebulon, daughter Alecia Dressel (David) of Avera, grandson Will Dressel (Rose), grandson Michael-Reid C. Dressel, and granddaughter Casey L. Dressel (fiancee Jake), sister-in-law Carla Prater, sister-in-law Arlene Gordon (Fred), brother-in-law Albert Ellis, sister-in-law Denise Morris (Randy), numerous cousins, and many amazing nieces and nephews. Her arrangements are being handled by Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services of Covington and the family will be having a closed ceremony at a later date. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers you make a donation in her memory to Shepherd Spinal Center in Atlanta, for the amazing work they did saving the life of her nephew. To donate, please email [email protected] or mail your memorial donation to Shepherd Center, 2020 Peachtree Road, NW, Atlanta, GA 30309-1465 Attn: Jessica Ayres Williams, mark in memory of Kay Diane Norris.
