James Edward Cobb

September 27, 1954 - August 4, 2021

James Edward Cobb, 66, of Monroe, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Eastside Medical Center in Snellville. He was a loving husband, father, Pop, and a friend to everyone he knew. James enjoyed fishing, camping, coon hunting and his chickens. But he got the most enjoyment out of spending time with his family. James worked at Lithonia Lighting for 20 plus years and then worked at Advantage Fire for 20 years. He retired and went camping, and spending time with his kids and his furry baby Reba. James was born in Conyers, GA to the late Robert E. and Margaret (Chandler) Cobb. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Danny Cobb and sister Janice Blackmon. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Lemonds; sons, Jason Cobb, Matt Cobb, Derrick Stowe, Tommy Lee Stowe; daughter, Cherrail Byrd; grandchildren, Nathan, Cheyanne, James, Robert, J.T., Cierra, Weston, Austin, Aiden, Dawson, Gavin, Abigail, Andrew, Ashley, Little Johnny, Presley, Bradyn; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Ricky Cobb, Bobby Cobb. James was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. The family would like to say a special thanks to Amanda Patterson and Ricky Cobb. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services with Pastor Terry Chandler officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Christian Church Cemetery in Conyers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Due to the current COVID-19 regulations, our staff is committed to taking care of our guests and families that we serve. Please understand we will be following the CDC COVID guidelines. We also ask all guests and family members attending visitations and services to practice social distancing. The wearing of masks is optional at this time. Those who are unable to attend we understand, and appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
