Anthony. Born, Silver Spring, MD, March 8th, at 21 years young, he returned to our Lord, October 28, 2021. Jairus is survived by his parents, Mother, Amanda L. Dixon-Anthony, Father, Everette O. Anthony, brothers, Jasmine Dixon, Christopher Anthony, and one nephew, Jaden J. Dixon. Jairus will be thought of and mourned by his maternal grandmother, Gladys D. Hunter maternal Great Aunt Janet Hisbon, alongside multiple Maternal and Paternal Aunts, Uncles, first, and second cousins. Jairus was an all-around athlete and an accomplished artist. He graduated from Piney Orchard Elementary, Indian Creek Middle, and Alcovy High School receiving elitist awards for academics, athleticism, and Arts. Most notably, as member of the Beta Club, receiving Advanced Placement H.S. Diploma, and awarded by Newton County Art Council. He played many skilled sports; Basketball and Football being his favorites. He was named Varsity MVP his senior year in Football. Jairus had continuous energy and many passions. He accepted spiritual enlightenment at Point of Grace and Springfield Baptist Churches. He loved animals, rap music and poetry writing, dancing, traveling, and playing Trumpet in Band. Jairus will be remembered for his keen sense of dress and style. He will forever be loved for his compassion, kindness, and his amazing smile. This obituary was lovingly prepared by the family Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 2 pm in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Don Reed officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 pm until service time. Due to the current COVID-19 regulations, our staff is committed to taking care of our guests and families that we serve. Please understand we will be following the State’s COVID guidelines. We also ask all guests and family members attending visitations and services to please bring and wear a mask while in the building, and are encouraged to practice social distancing.
