Hyacinth was born in Friendship District, St. Ann Jamaica, West Indies on November 15, 1944. She was sweet, quiet and had a kind and gentle spirit, clever wit but also tough.The eldest child of Blanch and Felix Green, Hyacinth migrated to the United States on June 12, 1985, with her two children. She was determined to complete her High School Equivalency and did so at age 57. In 2004, she retired at age 60 from her position as a Home Health Aide and relocated in 2005 to Lehigh Acres, Florida, where she enjoyed gardening and going to the gym.Hyacinth was preceded in death by her beloved parents Blanch and Felix, daughters Carla and Lorraine, siblings Vivelyn, Elizabeth, Miriam and Cyril. Survivors include husband Simeon of 47 years, daughter Janice, son Richard, granddaughter Danielle, grandson Dante, two sisters Estherleen and Alma, three Brothers Samuel, Evans, and Phillip, a host of Nieces, Nephews, and many extended family members across Jamaica, the United States, Canada and the UK.The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 11 AM. Interment will follow immediately after at Lawnwood Memorial Park.Read Obituary
