Geneva Martin Strange

Geneva Martin Strange 80, of Oxford passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 with family and friends near. Our Lord called home an angel today, Mrs. Geneva Strange. She left behind many, but the most beloved is the love of her life and husband of 59 years, Mr. Ray Strange. “Neenie” as most knew her, know that she found the best in any situation, and she could find the best in any person. Starting her working career at National Linen Service in 1959, she worked until her retirement in 1997. Her dedication and excellence in service resulted in her retirement as Executive Secretary to the President, in her tenure.She was born in Commerce, Georgia to the late James and Imogene Martin. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother Paul Martin. Family was her hobby but slots and bingo were her games, she enjoyed all to the fullest. She doted on each brother, sister, nephew, niece, their children and their children’s children, leaving many joyous memories. Holidays and vacations were an event that everyone cherished with her. She will be missed by all but we rejoice knowing that she is with our Lord and Savior. Geneva is survived by her loving husband of 59 years Ray Strange, sister Brenda (Thomas) Buckner, brother Joe Martin, and several nieces, nephew and many loving friends.Services for Geneva will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11am at Wheeler Funeral Home located at 11405 Brown bridge Rd Covington. Internment will take place immediately after service at Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 6-8pm.
