Gela A. Clements born November 30, 1929 in Starklos Germany. In Germany she was the baby of her family now joining them on her next journey. She was very close to her brother Hans Fuhrer and sister Annie married to her brother in law, Leslie Fouts, Jr. who lives in Clarksville, Tn. Gela loved speaking fondly and often of her Nieces; Bergetta & Hurbert Hohmann, Erika & Erin Nehaus and Andrea Linzer, who all live in Germany. Gela was married to MSG William F. Clements Jr. on February 21, 1959 and moved to the United States taking citizenship to live in Dallas, Texas. She and Bill lived in Savannah while stationed in the Army, where they met their adopted daughter, Nancy & Mike W. Hanley, son Michael & Kathryn, daughter Lilyana Grace Hanley. All lived close to Gela for many years. She loved her animals, hummingbirds, planting gardens & flowers. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and loved eating. She leaves behind Bill’s niece, Nikki Maxwell-Hooks & Jeff, son Harrison Hooks of Sandy Springs Ga and many friends including Tessie Jones, Sandra Tharpe, Rachel Walker, Charlie Gay Ogletree, Judy Frazer, son Kurt Frazer, neighbors; Connie & Billy Hunt and Dr Kristi Blanchford and her office staff as well as many other care givers. She was loved & will be dearly remembered. Donations at her request would go to Wounded Warriors Project or APSCA and are greatly appreciated by her family.
