She was born in Decatur, Georgia to the late Luther and Leslie Walden. She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Walden. Gail enjoyed doing water aerobics, spending time at the beach and in the mountains. She loved watching the Big Bang Theory Show. She was an avid reader, especially true crime books. Gail was the biggest animal lover of all, from cats to dogs, birds, snakes, horses and even elephants. Gail was a devoted wife, mother, nanna, sister, and friend to many who knew her.She leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband, George Wesley Romport; children and their spouses, Joanna Jurica (fiancé, Joe King) of Houston, TX, Jeff and Elaine Parham of Commerce, GA, Cindy and Matt Shipman of Covington, GA; grandchildren, Taylor Jurica, Hunter Jurica, Austin Jurica all of Houston, TX, Ciara Overstreet of Covington and Brittney Romport of Conyers, GA; great grandchildren, Silvia Akers of Covington, Caden Jurica and Aubrey Jurica, both of Houston, TX; numerous friends.Funeral Services for Mrs. Romport will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 11:00 am in the chapel of Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Curt Zehner officiating. A burial will follow after the service at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Stockbridge, GA.
