Eber Quinn Kennedy, 59 of Covington, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016 at home. Eber was born in Buford, GA. to Hulon and Avis Waldrip Kennedy. He was a member of Stewart Community Church. Eber was a “jack-of-all trades” and enjoyed his work. He was a simple man who loved fishing, helping the elderly, and he played Santa Claus for several years. Above all he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He is preceded in death by his mother.Eber is survived by his father, Hulon Kennedy of Lawrenceville, children Toni Denison (Wade) of Suwanee, Jo Kennedy (Wes Edwards) of Covington, Sam Parker (Craig) of Covington, sister Sheila Fortenberry (Raymond) of Lawrenceville, brothers Tommy Kennedy (Rita) of Madison and Wesley Kennedy (Debbie) of Habersham and grandchildren Mikey, Cayden (Pokey), Stella, Eli, Ethan (Ethan Boy).A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Stewart Community Church with Pastor Jason Johnson officiating. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I went to school with Eber and I lived on John's Road in Tucker. Throughout my teenage years I saw and talked to Eber alot. I had just in the past few years reconnected with him. He was a very special man and I will miss him greatly. He could always make me laugh. I will be holding the family close in my prayers always.
Eber was such a kind person with an distinctive laugh. We knew him throughout high school and later were neighbors. Toni, Sam and Jo were on the swim team with our children. We were so surprised and saddened to hear of his passing. The entire Kennedy family is in our thoughts and prayers.

When Eber spoke and shared about his faith in Christ during Suday School, you could sense the love, conviction, and sincerity with which he spoke. It was indeed a joy to hear him speak about the Lord. Because of his witness and testimony, there is no doubt in my mind that Eber has merely gone to sleep in Christ. Those of us who share that same faith in Jesus Christ will see Eber again when we are all re-united together in Christ forever in Heaven. Eber's life has not ended, it is resting in Christ and awaiting his new body that Christ has promised each of us at His second coming.
