Dorian La'Ron Drewery

Dorian La'Ron Drewery passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018. He was born June 25th, 1973, to Dorothy Ann Drewery and Ronny Myers in Tulsa, Oklahoma. At the age of 3, Dorian became a military brat and traveled extensively with his mother who was in the United States Air Force. Dorian went to school in Cocoa Beach, Florida; Manila, Philippines; Bitburg, Germany; and Altus, Oklahoma; where he graduated from high school in 1992. In Oklahoma, Dorian met and married the mother of his two daughters, Kadijah Mae-Linda Drewery, born in 1994, and Aisha Immanuel Drewery, born in 1996. Dorian decided to serve his country and joined the Army in 1993. Dorian served in Colorado Springs, war-torn Bosnia-Herzegovina, Germany, Korea, Okinawa Japan, and Georgia. Dorian retired from the Army in 2014. Dorian was an intelligent and articulate man with a variety of talents and interests. He loved music and could go from Biggie to Bach. Dorian was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast. Not only was he one hell of a Rider, but he did most of his own repair, finish, artwork and design. Dorian could turn a tricycle into a Ducati Monster. Dorian loved animals, especially dogs. His first, a German shepherd guard dog named King, and his last, an English bulldog named Bentley. Dorian started his career with the United States Postal Service as a Christmas casual in 2005, and was later assigned as a custodian to the Hapeville Georgia post office. Dorian married Jacqueline Lopez in 2008, making their home in Covington, Georgia. Dorian is preceded in death by his grandfather Nathan Drewery, grandmother Maecola Drewery, and granddaughter Aaliyah Rose. Dorian is survived by wife Jacqueline Drewery, mother Dorothy (Maurice) Edwards, father Ronny (Carolyn) Myers, daughters Kadijah Mae-Linda Drewery and Aisha Immanuel Drewery, son Rodney Taylor Jr., sisters, Brandi Na'cole Mizell, Tahalia Edwards, Joy Myers-Moses, brother, Ron-Buddy Myers, aunt Carletta (Robert) Trimble, and uncle Carl Epps, along with a host of friends cousins nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life services will be held Monday, March 26, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Wheeler Funeral Home with Brandi Mizell officiating. Repass will follow at the funeral home after the services. Burial will take place Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 2:30 pm at Georgia Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, GA will full military honors.
