Don M. Sanders, 77, of Covington, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Piedmont Newton Medical Center. In his earlier years, Don enjoyed riding motorcycles. He was retired from Gold-N West Surplus after 20 plus years. Don had a great work ethic. He was a strong family man with a great sense of humor.Don was born in Lubbock, Texas. He is survived by his girlfriend of 15 years, Brenda Hawkins of Covington; sons and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Valerie Sanders of Monticello, and Scott Sanders of Wallace, CA; brother, Jim Peach of Benton, IL; grandchildren, Ashley Aikens, Scott Sanders, Jr, Brittany Klane and Anthony Sanders; and great-grandson, Jaxon Klane.No services are announced at this time.
