He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and most of all, Christ follower. Clifford enjoyed fishing, Little League baseball, was an avid Braves and GA Bulldogs fan, going to the beach, and watching the Andy Griffith show.He was a true man of faith, a great prayer warrior, and a man of the Word of God. He will be greatly missed by all. Clifford was born in Anderson, SC to the late Ralph and Doris (Loggins) Mitchell. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carolyn (Britt) Mitchell, and sister, Gail Mitchell.His memory will be treasured by his children and their spouses, Larry Mitchell (Susan), Connie Rager (Danny); grandchildren, Carly Robinette (Justin), Jordan Rager (Randi), Jacob Rager, Martin Mitchell (Kourtney), Jared Rager (Victoria); great grandchildren, Landon, Hudson, Jaxson, Carolyn “CC”, and coming in 2024, Lane and Luke; sisters, Scarlett McDonald, Elaine Makowsky; brothers, Haskell Mitchell, Reece Mitchell; and many other loving family members.A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 13th, 2024, at 1 pm in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services with Pastor Danny Rager officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 am to 1pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to his home church, Gwinnett Christian Life at www.gclag.org. I met Cliff at a neighborhood party when we lived in the same neighborhood. Instantly liked him. Grew to love him over time and considered him family. He is going to be missed dearly. Prayers to all the family ~ Shelley & Elton Lynn
