Carl "Aubrey" Howell Jr.

Carl “Aubrey” Howell, Jr., 66, of Conyers, passed away Monday, March 9, 2020 at Piedmont Rockdale. He was born in Macon, GA to the late Carl Aubrey Howell, Sr. and Ruth Morris Howell. Aubrey was a loving father, son and brother. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church for 15 years, where he enjoyed working with the Youth. An avid GA Bulldog fan, he also enjoyed spending time with family on camping trips, and grilling on his “Big Green Egg”. Aubrey enjoyed WWII history and memorabilia, which he collected in honor of his father; who served in the US Army during WWII. He will be deeply missed.Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Lawannah Howell; children, Jonathon Howell, Jason Howell, William Howell and Amanda Howell; mother, Ruth Howell; sisters, Robin Post (Craig) and Patricia Kennedy (Scott); nephews, Evan and Sam; niece, Loryn.Funeral Services for Aubrey will be held Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Zion Baptist Church with Dr. Lane Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services, Wednesday March 11, 2020 from 6pm – 8pm and at Zion Baptist Church one hour prior to the service.
