He was born in Lithonia, GA., to Clyde and Mary Pearce Forester. Carl worked at PACTIV for over 40 years. He enjoyed riding Harley Davidsons, could fix anything, gardening, and loved doing any kind of projects. Carl loved giving his son David, “hell”. He would do anything for anyone. He loved his dog “Ree Ree” and always said he was his favorite child, and he loved his dog Charlie! Carl loved to cook for his family. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many.He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Mary Forester, and brother Clyde (Chuck) Forester. Carl is survived by his sons, Tommy Shepherd of Covington, David Forester and Brandi Myers of Covington; grandchildren, Victor and Danielle Shepherd, Ivy Shepherd, Dalton Forester, Dustin Forester; great granddaughter, Berkley Wrenn Shepherd; sisters and brothers in law, Martha Russell and Gene Carr of Gainesville, Marilyn and Richard Hall of Covington, Kathy Forester of Commerce; brothers and sister in law, Roger and Jane Forester of Conyers, Jimmy Forester of Covington, Fredderick Forester of Canton; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 11 am in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Kathy Lamon Forester officiating. Interment will follow immediately after at Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 6pm – 8pm.
