Ms. Cobb was always so willing to help and share at Salem UMC. I have many fond memories of her quiet support and compassionate care. My condolences to the family. We were blessed greatly by Mr. and Mrs. Cobb's dedication.

Wynelle Carter Cobb passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 17, 2018. She was born in Martin, GA on August 21, 1924 and was the daughter of Carlene Davis Carter and Albert Carter. She was survived by one brother, Dan Talmadge Carter of Martin, GA and was preceded in death by one sister, Kathryn Carter Pickren and two brothers, Davis Carter and James Ray Carter.She was married to Charles B. Cobb and they had two children, Elaine (Michael) Hubley from Atlanta and Andy (Yvonne) Cobb of Covington. She had 4 grandchildren: Kate Carter, Baron (Megan) Eidson, Amanda Cobb, Kimberly (Shane) Horwitz, and five great grandchildren.She had worked earlier for many years at Roadway Express where she met and married Charlie. After retirement, she and Charlie moved to Covington to enjoy a quieter lifestyle. Including gardening, close family time, sewing and crafting. She was an active member at Salem United Methodist Church in Covington and arrived there often carrying a casserole or dessert she had made. She was a member of the Otis Nixon Sunday School Class.Wynelle and Charlie did a lot of traveling and thoroughly enjoyed the experiences. She rode a camel, was baptized (again) in the Jordan River, and had other interesting experiences throughout their travels.The service will be held on Friday January 19. 2018 at 2pm at Salem United Methodist Church in Covington.
