Mr. James Andrew Nickens

James Andrew Nickens 74, of Covington, passed away on August 20, 2014. Mr. Nickens was born in Kimarnock, Virginia to the late John Jay and Fanny Nickens. He was retired from the US Army as a MSG where he served 2 tours in Vietnam.Mr. Nickens is survived by his wife of 52 years Junita Nickens of Covington; daughters and son-in-law LaPointa Andreen Nickens of Conyers and Tiare and Melvin Fuller of Covington; sons and daughters-in-law Terence and Kenyona Nickens of Grayson , Torin and Phenecia Nickens of Douglasville; grandson Terence Bryce Nickens of Grayson; sister Rosalie Moore of Alexandria, VA.,and brothers and sisters-in-law Herbert and Adeline Nickens of Washington, DC and John and Sharon Nickens of Richmond, VA.A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 2914 Fairview Road, Covington, GA with Brother Melvin Fuller officiating. A private burial service will take place at Georgia National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, August 25, 2014 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm.Read Obituary
