Wheeler Funeral Home is a full service facility with an on-site crematory centrally located on Brown Bridge Road. The building was designed and built to meet the ever-changing needs of Newton and surrounding counties. The beautifully furnished interior and comfortable atmosphere helps make for a pleasant environment.
The warm and inviting chapel can seat approximately 200 people and has a piano, organ and sound system to accommodate the music selections that a family may request which enables music and services to be heard throughout the building.
Our spacious state of the art arrangement system is designed so that families may view the information necessary for the newspaper obituaries and other legal documents such as the death certificate, social security form, and Veterans forms. This allows families the opportunity to not only verify that the information is correct on the legal documents, but also gives family members the opportunity to be a part of writing the obituary and approving before being sent to the newspapers. It also allows families to view a wider selection of caskets, urns, vaults and personalization options than a traditional arrangement system. Many caskets have personalization features such as Memory Drawers, interchangeable corners, and cap panels that allow families the option of designing a casket to help honor their loved one in a unique way.
